2025 Craft Room Tour

Welcome to my 2025 Craft Room Tour! I'm going to take you on a tour of my craft room and give you a look into how I store my craft supplies. Not a lot has changed when you look at my craft room tour from last year, but I still wanted to share a tour of my craft room and where it is at this point in my creative journey. I attribute the minimal change to having found a really nice flow with my current set up AND the products I’m using the most. As always, as the creative journey continues, I do move things around here and there and you will see some of these small changes throughout the tour.

And of course some things never change. I still continue to be a relentless purger and my spare box for collecting these items is still there and doing it's job. Once it's full I continue to find the products a new home by either donating them or giving them away to fellow crafters. This process continues to help me stay in my space without having to constantly add more storage options or furniture. I've also found that too many options tend to stifle my creativity so the purging allows me to surround myself with the products and supplies I love and that inspire me.

2025 Craft Room Tour by Juliana Michaels

I continue to find that a neat and tidy room help me be the most creative. And I still continue to clean up after every project. I also continue to use a combination of open and closed storage depending on what type of supply I am organizing.

Open storage is perfect for letting me see the things I want to see or that have a decorative element to them, such as my ink pads, and closed storage let's me hide the things I don't want to see.

2025 CRAFT ROOM TOUR

If you would like to watch a video tour of my craft room, you can find that HERE or watch it below.

If you are interested in any of the storage items that you see in the video you can find links to those that are still available in the description box below when you shop through those links, you are surprising me supporting me and I appreciate that so very much. Now let's get on with the tour!

Behind my desk I continue to have my wall of storage. These are all Ikea bookcases and continue to work pretty well for me.

In the center bookcase you can see that the top 2 shelves are mostly decorative items and a few of my makes.

I love having this section of inspiration and I continue to add to and edit it as I collect new pieces or create new makes.

Below that you will find this stadium organizer with my Scrapbook.com Pops of Color. This is definitely one of those open storage pieces that creates a great decorative piece as well.

On the next shelf I have my collection of Tim Holtz Stamp Sets stored in the Medium Storage Envelope Organizer form Scrapbook.com.

And then below that I have my collection of Tim Holtz Sizzix dies and embossing folders. These wooden drawers are from Hobby Lobby, but they are no longer available. They are definitely one of my favorite storage pieces in my craft room.

On the wall to the right of the central bookcase you can see my Distress Ink and Distress Oxide Ink Pads organized in Stamp N Storage Ink Pad Holders.

To the right side of the central bookcase you will find the majority of my Tim Holtz products.

This cubby has a vintage hardware bin filled with some of the recent cards I've made, along with my Distress Ink Swatch Book.

This cubby contains my Alcohol Inks and some Idea-ology products.

Here is where I store the smaller Tim Holtz papers such as his Kraftstock, Yupo Paper, and tags.

This section holds more Idea-ology and that container in the back is the 4 Tiered Storage Unit from Scrapbook.com that is perfect for storing all the trinkety bits. If you want to see more about how I store my Tim Holtz products make sure you check out my Storage and Organization Ideas for Tim Holtz Supplies Video.

Here's a look into a couple of the drawers in this unit. This one has my Distress Embossing Glazes and that small tin is a Distress Crayon Tin that I use to keep my embossing supplies such as ink pads, antistatic pouch, embossing pens and other tools organized. The drawer below this one has my other embossing powders.

This drawer has my Distress Crayons, Archival Inks, Perfect Pearls and Sizzix Luster Wax. I also have a drawer for my Distress Pastes and Alcohol Ink supplies.

To the left of the center bookcase I have my other craft supplies that aren't Tim Holtz except for his stencils, but it works for me to have them over here as you'll see.

On the top of the bookcase I have two more Stamp N Storage Ink Pad Holders. These are the Slim Ink Pad Holders and I have my collection of Ranger Archival Inks and other miscellaneous ink pads in the one to the left and the one to the right has my Versafine Clari collection.

Now onto the cubbies below.

The next two hold a lot of my Scrapbook.com dies, stamps and paper pads. Here I'm using some more of those vintage green hardware bins to hold the stamps and dies. And I love to use the Scrapbook.com ink pad holders to house my A2 paper pads.

Always a favorite storage piece of mine is the Scrapbook.com Stadium Storage Organizer. I like to switch this out with the seasons and it currently has winter and Valentine's themed products in it along with a few of my favorite basics.

Next to that I have my stencil cubby. There are two 6x8 albums that I use to store my Scrapbook.com stencils and then I have my Tim Holtz stencils in a Scrapbook.com Tall Skinny Stadium Organizer. I also have my blending brushes stored here in a Make It By Marco Rotating Blending Brush Holder. As you can see, the Tim Holtz stencils just make sense here.

I also have a few wooden crates in the bookcase cubbies on each side. Each one holds a different group of supplies. One has my junk journal products, another one hold my fabric, felt, ribbons and twine.
I also have one that holds my Halloween Idea-ology and another one that holds my Christmas Idea-ology.

Next is a look at my Raskog cart. It holds my most used tools and adhesives. On the top I have the Scrapbook.com Heat Tool Organizer along with a lot of my most used tools and adhesives.

On the second tier, I have more adhesives, stamping blocks and crafty clean up cloths.

On the bottom tier I have my Tim Holtz 8.5 inch Trimmer and the lids to the Scrapbook.com Storage Bins. I use these as trays to sort and hold things when I'm working on projects.

Across from my desk I have an Ikea dresser. You can see more of what is in each drawer in the video tour. Here I'm just sharing a couple of the drawers. This one holds my Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stains and Distress Oxide Sprays.

This drawer hold my extra liquid adhesives and extra pastes. It also holds my Distress Spritz, Distress Mica Stains and Distress Paints.

I also have a closet that holds even more craft supplies, including my cardstock, specialty papers, and more. You can find a look at that in my 2025 Craft Room Tour Video.

I hope you enjoyed my 2025 Craft Room Tour and seeing how I store and organize my craft supplies. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach to me.

Craft Room Tour and Closet Makeover 2024

Hello crafty friend! With the start of the new year, I thought it was a great time to share my Craft Room Tour and Closet Makeover with you. While there weren't a lot of changes in my craft space, I did make a few small changes here and there that I wanted to share with you. Along with these small changes, I made a rather large change with a makeover of the closet in my craft room. I've been wanting to do this for awhile now and I can't wait to see how it works for me in the coming year.

Workspace Wednesday | Crafty Storage Zipper Pouches and Storage Envelopes

It's time for another Workspace Wednesday and in this post, I wanted to share about some great storage options in the form of zipper pouches and envelopes that are perfect for organizing, storing and protecting your crafting supplies.

CRAFTY STORAGE ZIPPER POUCHES

First up are the Crafty Storage Zipper Pouches. I recently went to visit my mom and used these to pack some crafting supplies so we could make cards together. They were absolutely perfect for storing everything I needed.

Scrapbook.com Crafty Storage Pouches

The Zipper Pouches come in two sizes. The Large one is 13 x 9.5 inches and easily held my MISTI Stamping Tool, several Tim Holtz Stamp Sets, some stencils and there was still room to spare. The Small one is 9.5 x 5.5 inches and was perfect for holding some smaller items such as ink pads, a tape runner, scissors and a blending brush.

These Crafty Storage Pouches are a convenient and practical way to organize, store and protect all of your card making and paper crafting supplies in one place. They're made of EVA and mesh which make them flexible and allows you to fit more items in them than Plastic Storage Envelopes. They are sold individually or in packs of 3.

Another great use for these is an easy way to corral your products to make a kit, or just to easy clean up if your in the middle of a project.

STORAGE ENVELOPES

Next up I wanted to share about the Storage Envelopes. There are a couple of differences in the Pouches versus the Envelopes. The Envelopes are made from a sturdy semi-opaque frosted and durable plastic.  They come in 7 sizes ranging from 4.75 x 4.75 inches to 13 x 13 inches and everything in between.

**Several of the most popular sizes are also available in a semi-opaque pink and mint color.

  • Small 4.75 x 4.75 inches
  • Medium 6 x 8.75 inches **
  • Large 7 x 10 inches
  • Extra Large 13 x 13 inches **
  • 7 x 13 inches - I like to call this the extra long one. It's perfect for storing Tim Holtz 6x10 Backdrops Papers!
  • Letter 9 x 11.5 inches
  • Slimline 4.5 x 9.5 inches **

Scrapbook.com Storage Envelopes

Each envelope has a secure notch-like closure to keep contents in place. Since these are a more sturdy storage option, I like to use them to store patterned papers, paper scraps, and paper die cuts because the paper is less likely to get bent when it's in the envelope. I also really like to use them to store metal dies. The frosted clear ones are my favorite and I like how you can see through them to easily what's inside them at a glance. These Storage Envelopes can be purchases in sets of 5 or 10.

I hope you enjoyed learning a bit more about the Crafty Zipper Storage Pouch and Storage Envelope options from Scrapbook.com. With so many choices you are sure to find the perfect storage solution!

Workspace Wednesday | Tiered Storage For Distress Spray Stains & Oxide Sprays and More

I'm back with another Workspace Wednesday and this week I wanted to share some new tools and storage products from Scrapbook.com that have found a home in my craft room. The ones I'm sharing here are already making big improvements in my creative making flow and that's why I wanted to share them with you!

Scrapbook.com 5 Level Tiered Stadium Organizer with Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stains and Distress Oxide Sprays

I have a new YouTube Video that shares all about these new tool and storage ideas. You can watch it below or head over to my YouTube channel.

STACK-N-SORT TRAYS

First off are these new Stack and Sort trays. They come in a frost color and 2 to a package. I'm personally hoping they will come out with them in white as well so they match the other storage pieces I currently have. They are 6 x 4.5 inches in size and 0.75" tall and they stack. I'm using them to hold die cuts and ephemera and to help keep them organized on my desk.

I've been using the lids from the Scrapbook.com Storage Bins to do this and they are pretty much the same thing, just much larger. And what is super awesome is they all stack together! So that gives you so more options for how to use them. As for the actual Storage Bin, I've been using them to store my Distress Spray Stain and Oxide Sprays. But...I may have a new storage option for these, as you'll soon see!

MULTI-PURPOSE TOOL TRAY

Another thing is their new Multi-purpose Tool Tray. Which they are showing on the packaging with their new blending brushes. It's pretty substantial and has a nice weight to it. Besides the brushes you could also use it to hold scissors, tweezers, and other craft tools.

I've got mine in my Raskog cart next to my Heat Tools & Accessories Organizer.

BLENDING BRUSHES

Scrapbook.com is now offering blending brushes that come in a variety of sizes. While these aren't anything new, these are Scrapbook.com branded and the light grey color is a great neutral if you don't care for the black or rainbow colored ones that are available. They come in a variety of sizes that would suit any type of use you can think of.

Scrapbook.com Blending Brushes with Stencil

They come in Large, Medium, Small and a pack of Detail Brushes. The brush heads range in size from 1.5 x 2 inches for the Large all the way down to 3/8 of an inch for the round detail brush.

Scrapbook.com Blending Brushes with Stencil

I'm reaching for brushes more and more, instead of the foam blending tools because they making blending a lot easier and smoother. I especially love using them for stencil work as they get into all the nooks and crannies on stencils and really create a nice crisp image.

5 LEVEL TIERED STADIUM ORGANIZER

Last, but not least is their 5 Level Tiered Stadium Organizer and I'm pretty excited about this one! At first I thought it could only be used for storing small bottles such as Pops of Color, Nuvo Drops, Reinkers, etc. So imagine my surprise when I realized it could hold Distress Spray Stains and Oxide Sprays! If you're wondering about whether or not it will hold a certain product, make sure to check out the Scrapbook.com website for a full list of all the different products it will hold.

The organizer comes in pieces and there is some assembly required, but it has great instructions and if you follow them you will find it comes together with a little elbow grease and patience. In my video, I share that I originally didn't intend to film putting it together, but then decided to just to see how long it took me. It ended up taking me about 13 minutes to put it together. Which isn't too bad, but I will say trying to hold onto those little screws was a challenge. The biggest thing I can recommend is to read the instructions and follow them because they definitely made all the difference in getting this assembled properly. In the video I share some of my biggest takeaways that you might find helpful when you go to assemble yours.

Once assembled the organizer is 12.25 inches wide, 7.75 inches deep. It's 1.125 inches tall in the front, 5.75" tall at the back and each row is just under 1.5" wide.

Of course, the first thing I had to try after I got it assembled was to see if my Distress Spray Stains and Oxide Sprays fit. And they do! Each organizer will hold 40 of these bottles, so if you have the entire collection, you're going to need several of these to hold them all. I'm still working out where to put them. As I mentioned, mine are currently in Storage Bins which I keep in my Ikea Dresser, but I'd like to use them more and I think if they are out where I can get to them easier, I'll be more likely to do that.

Workspace Wednesday | Self-Healing Workspace Mat & Stackable Paper Trays

It has been ages since I did a Workspace Wednesday post. But, I recently acquired a couple of new products that are changing the way I work in my craft room and I wanted to share about them with you.

SELF-HEALING WORKSPACE MAT

First up is the new Self-Healing Workspace Mat. While I love my Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat, when I'm filming my videos, I can't use it because of the glare from my lights. This new mat from Scrapbook.com is absolutely perfect for filming my videos, plus it has some great features that make it a wonderful mat to work on when I'm creating.

Self-Healing Workspace Mat from Scrapbook.com

It is made of recycled materials, which are a self-healing cutting material. This means you can use your craft knives and other sharp tools on it without damaging it. The self-healing property is a wonderful feature to have for nearly every crafting project. It measures 23" x 17" which is a great size for protecting your work surface.

My favorite part however, is that it has marked white grids in a 1 inch system. Many of the mats out there have the metric system on them as well, but I don't use that measuring system very often, so I frequently get frustrated trying to measure something on my mat and I just want to know the inches.

Self-Healing Workspace Mat from Scrapbook.com

8.5 X 11 STACKABLE PAPER TRAYS

The next new item are these 8.5 x 11 Stackable Paper Trays. They are sold in packs of two and each tray measures 9 x 11.5 inches and is approximately 1.46 inches tall. Each tray holds approximately 100 pieces of paper per tray, depending on the thickness of your paper.

I'm using them to store and organize my Tim Holtz Distress Papers. Here I'm using them to store my Distress Watercolor, Distress Heavystock, Mixed Media Heavystock and Kraft Heavystock. They come in both white and clear, so you have options to choose from when selecting which one might fit your craft room style.

If 8.5 x 11 is not your preferred paper size, these trays are also available in a 12x12 size.

Modern 8.5 x 11 Stackable Paper Trays from Scrapbook.com

So, do either of these products interest you? Are they something you would like to have in your craft room? I'd love to hear your thoughts on them and if you have any questions, just ask.
