Mix it up

Just a reminder...Mixer #16 is up at Mix It Up!
I was very much inspired by this week’s challenge to use rub ons in a fun and unique way. I had been going through some old CK magazines and saw a fun technique that Jennifer McGuire had used and so I decided to give it a try. I cut circles out of cardstock and then took rub ons and placed them randomly on the circles. I trimmed them off around the edges with a craft knife. I then cut the circles in half and used them to make a scalloped border along the bottom of my page. It was a great way to use nearly an entire package of rub ons!
Here is my LO for this week's challenge:

I just took the Color Me Quiz at CK and I am an...
Orange Scrapbooker
Scrapbooking is pure joy to you. You are imaginative and probably don't mind getting messy in the pursuit of your art. Your pages reflect your playful personality. You enjoy celebrations and may have many photos of happy gatherings. You see inspiration everywhere you look.

Is that me?!

And another fun thing... these pretty paper roses! I saw this tutorial and just had to share it with you all. It is actually pretty easy. As soon as I saw it I had to sit down and give it a try. I definitely can't wait to play with this technique some more and add these pretties so some of my projects!

Thanks for stopping by!
WOW! 2 posts in 1 week!!!!
Something must have gotten in to me!!!!

Lots to share...

First off I want to share my recent projects using Magistical Memories chippies! Also, they are having a huge retirement sale to make way for new chippies that will be arriving very, very soon! You can check it all out here...Retirement Sale.

OK, on to my stuff!
This first LO was created using the Ranger and Circle Star. This one is also for the April Stick to it Challenge where you are challenged to include tape and of course chipboard on your LO. You still have a few days to enter and to have a chance at winning so fabulous MM chippies!!!

I did my journaling on masking tape. Now I know it looks cool, but there are so problems in doing this. I first recommend a laser printer and then spraying it with a fixative. The ink does tend to flake off. If you use a inkjet printer the ink will never dry. If any one has suggestions for this please share!

Next is a card using a Fancy Frame. Love this and someone suggested framing it and I just may end up doing that! Thanks for the suggestion!!!

This next one is one of my faves right now! I love the colors and all the little details!

The journaling is hidden using one the Tab Trio Squares. Yes this LO is about the election and voting, hence why most of the journaling is hidden just for me to read. I am kind of getting into hidden journaling right now as you will see in the next LO! I also created this LO for Mixer #14 at Mix It Up! Don't forget every Wednesday a new mixer is posted and this month's prize pack is a kit from Create My Keepsakes!!!

And this is my second favorite LO right now! It is such a mix of old and new! And I am loving these new Prima flowers!!! Lots of little details again and hidden journaling using the butterfly to hide it!

Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Today is...

not Christmas! It's April Fool's Day! However, the projects I am sharing are very Christmassy (is that even a word?!) indeed!
I created these projects last weekend and I plan to use them as Christmas gifts this year. I have had this paint can (actually I had 2 of them and the other one is still sitting there.) for about 2 years waiting for me to do something to it. Well, here is what I did! I used all Basic Grey papers, chipboard and stickers, embellished these with a bit of glitter and added an edging with the Apron Lace punch. And I have to tell you... I am in love with this punch! I just wish I had all of the new Fiskar's punches! But for now, I guess I'll have to settle with just this one!!! The second project is again made with more Basic Grey, glitter and this time the Marta Stewart lace punch! Oh, and I love this punch too!

I also wanted to share a few thing that I have seen lately that inspired me or helped me!

This way cool Easter Basket idea by Laura Canale...
