About Me

I grew up loving art, crafting and photography thanks to a creative mother who loved to paint, sew and draw.  She also loved to photograph our daily lives and kept all of our photos in albums, forming the basis for my love of scrapbooking.  I love all kinds of crafts and there are very few that I have not tried.  I found my true passion in paper crafts and scrapbooking about 15 years ago thanks to a co-worker who introduced me to his girlfriend, Carrie Anne, my best friend and the person I can thank for introducing me to scrapbooking.

I have been a project designer in the papercraft/scrapbook industry since 2007. I have been fortunate to work for many top manufacturers including: Bo Bunny, Bella Blvd, Provocraft, Jillibean Soup and GCD Studios.  My projects have been published in a variety of magazines and idea books and I have had projects displayed at the Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show.  I am an active blogger on my own blog (www.17turtles.com).

I love color, texture, trying new techniques and playing with new products.  The products are almost always what inspire me to create whatever it is that I make whether it be a card, a scrapbook layout or an altered object/home decor item.  You can always visit my blog to see my latest creations.

When I am not creating, I am a wife to my best friend and the love of my life.  I have a fondness for coffee, Dr. Pepper, Mexican Food, turtles and antiquing.  In my spare time I enjoy working out, cooking, gardening, and reading science and historical fiction.
