Mother's Day Rose Gift Box

Mother's Day is right around the corner and I am sure all you crafty types are looking for something to make for Mom.  Because of course we have to make something...that is what we do!  LOL!!!
I recently created a gift and coordinating gift box for my Mom using the Bo Bunny Ambrosia collection and some Cricut Cartridges (Giant flowers, Flower Shoppe and Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2).  You can download the project cut files below if you want re-create this project to use with either your Gypsy or the Cricut Craft Room.
Here is the gift box!  The flower I made is about 5 inches across.  The Giant Flowers Cart is meant to be make flowers that are much larger (10 inches and larger), but with a little patience, I was able to make one smaller!

The box is from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2.

I created the ring using a ring base that I bought at Hobby Lobby and the flower is actually a button!  I used Super Glue to attach the button and the bling to the ring base.

These are the cut files if you are interested and already have these Cartridges!

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

This past weekend was a good one for me!  I scrapped a lot!  Some for upcoming Bo Bunny & Cricut projects and some just for me!  I haven't taken photos of any of them yet, but when I do I will share what I can.  The project I can share with you is this one. It was created using one of the new Cricut Craft Room Exclusives called American Sign Language.  I admit that I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do when I first saw these images, but I decided to that I just needed to think outside the box.  My first thought was actually to create flash cards for each letter of the alphabet, but that seemed too simple and expected.  When I am creating projects for Cricut I always try to come up with something that is not expected.  Other than just trying to think of something different to do, I am honestly not sure where this idea came from.  I knew I wanted to spell out a word and this is what happened! Sometimes I think I succeed in doing something a little different and other times I am not so sure.  But I do always try to come up with something that will hopefully inspire someone, somewhere on their next project!

Did you notice that I even did the "ROYGBIV" thing for each color of the rainbow?

And I had to add this just because I LOVE this song!!!

Today was the final video class for the April Bo Bunny mini album on the Bo Bunny Blog.  Here are the images of the album that I created that was used for the class.  Did you also see the 3 new collections coming your way from Bo Bunny?  Any favorites yet?  I can't wait to see them...I am always amazed at how much more I love them IRL!!!

As always....THANK YOU for your visit!
And if you ever have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Bo Bunny & Turtles

So how was everyone's Easter?  We had a great time with my family and got some good family photos.  But first, here are a few Bo Bunny projects from recently.  This first one is the current April Mini Album class using the Country Garden collection.  Kris posted the first video class in the series on the Bo Bunny Blog today and you can check it out HERE.  She shows you how to create the cover and first 3 pages.

During the video, she asked about what the 17turtles means. Well, the 17 is the day of my birthday in May and the turtles is because I love turtles!  That's all...kind of simple huh?!

My next project is a layout I created using mostly Bo Bunny's Double Dot papers.  If you haven't seen them, the new Vintage Dot are amazingly yummy!  Distressed dot on one side and a gorgeous swirled pattern on the other side.  And it comes in 20 fabulous colors!!! I created yellow part of the flowers using a Cuttlebug Quilling Die from Provo Craft called the Scallop Rosette.  The centers are created from a Stampin' Up punch.  After I punched them out, I lightly misted the flowers, wrinkled them and let them dry.  I then glued them to the center of the scallop rosette.  The leaves are from another Cuttlebug Quilling Die called the Rose/Carnation.

This final project is an altered project from March that I lovingly referred to as my Garden Angel!  It is covered with the gorgeous Country Garden collection including papers, buttons and rubons!

Look at that sweet little face! I used gesso to create the texture for her hair.  The buttons are little black pearls!

And here are a couple photos from my Easter weekend...

Grandma teaching E how to create tie dye eggs

A couple eggs I decorated using some punches

E with one of her decorated eggs

And A with some of hers!

Finally a decent photo of me and D!  Totally about time!

Thanks for your visit!
