Bo Bunny Field Trip | Rub Ons

Today on the Bo Bunny blog we each took a little personal field trip!  You are probably wondering what that means. Well, they wanted us to step outside our comfort zone and do something a little different!!!  I really had to think about this one. I feel like I scrap a wide variety of topics and I enjoy doing cards and OTP projects.  (Although I do need to do more "everyday" type layouts and I am working on doing this!) So I decided to go with using a Bo Bunny product that I don't use very often...their rub ons.  Don't get me wrong, Bo Bunny has awesome rub ons! They come off like butter!  I just struggle with using them because they come off like butter and stay put where ever they land!  I am more of a move it around until I am 100% sure about where it is going to stay, move it around some more and then maybe it stays put!  Rub ons are not conducive to this method!!!  That was until I saw a tip that Tara Orr shared recently on the Bo Bunny blog.

She suggested applying them to cardstock and then fussy cutting around them.  Now this sounded like a way for me to use rub ons!  And that is exactly what I did. I adhered the ones I wanted to use to white cardstock.
I then trimmed around them leaving a small white border.
I decided that I wanted the central image to have more dimension, so I cut it out.
I then adhered it to another piece of white cardstock and trimmed around it.
When I attached it to my layout, I used double sided foam tape to pop it up to give me the dimension I was looking for.
Thanks so much for stopping by and if you happened to stop by here after visiting the Bo Bunny blog please let me know!

HAPPY HUGS!!!

  1. What a super fun layout! Makes me wish it was summer here. The other thing I do with rub-ons is rub them onto acetate. Then I can layer them over things and easily move them around :-) Nothing worse than putting it down and then ending up covering it up ... or mucking up the rub on that you have decided to add at the end!!! LOL
