Tim Holtz Ranger Ink Halloween Mica Stain | Halloween Cards

Happy Halloween friends! Yes, the Halloween crafting season is upon us and thanks to Tim Holtz and Ranger Ink we have some fabulous new limited edition products to create with for all our Halloween makes. These products include two sets of Distress Mica Stains, a Distress Mica Flakes Sparkle Set and a Halloween Distress Grit Paste Set. If you want to learn more about each of these products, make sure you check out Tim's YouTube Live. I was lucky enough to be gifted these new products a bit early, so I thought it would be fun to share some cards I created using the brand new Mica Stains. And as I've already mentioned, these are limited edition, so once these are gone they are gone forever!

I will tell you know, it is nearly impossible to photograph how gorgeously shiny these Mica Stains are, so I've also created a quick IG Reel that you can check out over on my Instagram feed.

Hocus Pocus Halloween Card by Juliana Michaels featuring Tim Holtz Ranger Ink Mica Stain

This first card uses the Trellis Layering Stencil with the Hocus Pocus and Bubbling Cauldron Mica Stains onto a piece of Distress Watercolor. I then added some stamping using Black Soot Archival Ink. I didn't want the background to fade into the background, so I added a simple black silhouette die cut using the Witchcraft Thinlits. And now that I'm thinking about it, this would have been fun to cover with a coat of the Nightfall Glitter!

For the stars, I die cut some Distress Watercolor paper sprayed with the Flickering Candle. I then finished it off with a sentiment from the Life Of The Party Stamp Set.

On this card, I used Jack O'Lantern, Empty Tomb and Hocus Pocus Mica Stains with the Deco Arch Layering Stencil. I then stamped some images from the Anatomy Chart Stamp Set using Black Soot Archival Ink.

Wicked Halloween Card by Juliana Michaels featuring Tim Holtz Ranger Ink Mica Stain

I finished off the card with some black die cuts using the now retired Vintage Spirits Thinlits, a bat from Bat Crazy Thinlits and a sentiment from the Life Of The Party Stamp Set.

Last but not least, I used the Ironwork Layering Stencil with Flickering Candle and Jack O'Lantern Mica Stains. I then added some stamping using the Examination and Anatomy Chart Stamp Set with Black Soot and Hickory Smoke Archival Ink.

To finish if off, I added some black die cuts using the Vintage Spirits and Bat Crazy Thinlits.

Thanks so much for stopping by today to check out the Halloween cards I created using the Tim Holtz Ranger Ink Halloween Mica Stain.
