Paper Issues Online Crop | 17turtles Cut File Challenge

This weekend Paper Issues hosted an Online Crop on their Facebook Page (Paper Issues Friends & Fans) with loads of great challenges and prizes, including one sponsored by 17turtles. The 17turtles Altered Cut File Challenge is for you to use a digital cut file on your project and to add some color to it by either cutting the image from colored cardstock or patterned paper OR you can add color with paint, ink, sprays, etc. By playing along with my challenge you have the chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the 17turtles Shop! All of the challenges are open until March 29, so you still have plenty of time to join in the fun and enter for your chance to win some amazing prizes!

Here is the layout that I created for the Cut File Challenge using some photos of Danny giving Woody a bath!

For my take on the challenge, I used a new 17turtles Cut File called Dancing Circles.  I cut the image from white cardstock and then added color to it using a combination of watercolors and gelatos.

To help prevent the cut image from warping, I applied a coat of clear gesso to both sides of it. Once the gesso was dry, I then added the watercolor and gelatos.
