Moxie Fab Gift Packaging

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have had a wonderful week!!! Today I have a quick post to share with you. I played along with the Gift Packaging Challenge in the Moxie Fab World and this is what I created. I made this gift bag and coordinating card to give to a dear new friend...my husband's bosses wife! About 2 weeks ago she drove me all around Cleveland so that I would be more comfortable finding my way around the city. She showed me how to get to all the important places (including the shopping!) and the main roads so I wouldn't get lost. It was a wonderful day and so very helpful. I have used the things I learned that day quite regularly since then and now I don't feel so lost when I go places by myself or with my husband!

Supplies: Pebbles

PS...I filled the bag with chocolate bars, trail mix and a mix of flavored teas from Trader Joe's!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you will play along with the Moxie Fab Gift Packaging Challenge or one of their other Moxie Fab Challenges!!!

You Are My Sunshine

Just a quick share today...this is the layout I created for the My Minds Eye May Sketch Challenge. I used some of their new collection Find Your Wings and Fly to create it along with some bits and pieces of other collections. I was inspired by the sketch to use something a little different from all of the small squares and the hexagons seemed like a great choice since some of the stickers and chipboard shapes I had were hexagon shaped. I then cut out more hexagons using my Silhouette and added some hand stitching.

Here is the sketch:

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!!!

Simon Says Take A Picture

OK! WOW! Three posts in one day!!! This is definitely some sort of crazy record and not something that I intended by any means. I made two cards last week for the Simons Says Stamp Challenge Take A Picture and I realized that I have to get them posted before tomorrow morning. Better late than never I guess! I have been looking for some good challenge blogs and this one caught my eye. This week the challenge was "take a picture" and they said we could use anything photograph/camera/film related, so of course Bo Bunny's Mama Razzi 2 collection hollered at me!!! I also used this as an excuse to get my Father's Day cards completed. After I finished my cards I realized that I didn't use any stamps. I hope they are OK with this! If not, oh well...at least I got my Father's Day cards done!!!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my cards and my blog! And I love when you say HI!

Bella Blvd + Free Cut File

Today I am sharing two of my latest layouts for Bella Blvd that I made using some of their new collections!  This first layout is of my niece doing her own thing while her sister was playing soccer! She goes into her own little world reading or doing whatever she wants and has no interest in soccer. So, you definitely do not want to disturb her!!!  For this layout, I used a combination of Bella Blvd's Love and Marriage and Sand & SurfWhen I began to create this layout I decided that I wanted to step outside my comfort zone a little and try to use only scraps or small pieces of patterned paper. I tend to prefer larger pieces when creating my layouts. I cut the patterned papers into strips and then tore the tops and bottom edges off of them. I then layered them and adhered them to my background paper. I completed the layout by adding some Cardstock Stickers, Designer Tape, and a Crochet Heart.

For my second layout, I used the new All American Collection! When we bought our old house in Illinois we knew we wanted to hang a flag on the front porch because of it's location on the main street in the historic district of town. We got our flag a few days before Memorial Day and we proudly displayed it throughout the summer months and especially during the parades and holidays!

I created the star border and cut it out using my Silhouette! I used a Fiskars punch for the smaller stars. Feel free to download my FREE cut file and use it on your next project!

Make sure you stop by the Bella Blvd blog for more inspiration from the other on going guest designers!!! Thank you for stopping by!!!

Hi & Hello Cards

Today I have a couple of cards to share with you using The Paper Bakery May Scrapbook Kit called Glitz Roadshow. First I have this Hello cards that I made using the super fun blue polka dot ruffle ribbon that was included in the kit. I attached it to the front of the card using Terrifically Tacky Tape. You might also notice that I used the rest of the die cut cards that I had cut in half and used on my Malley's Ice Cream layout! I also use the negative piece for the "&" from my Today layout!

For my second card I embossed the glassine bag that held some of the extras that came with the kit. using my Cuttlebug. I folded the top over to size it to a height that would fit on a standard A2 size card. I then embellished it with some of the Crate Paper die cuts and some of that super fun green ribbon!

I am so happy you stopped by and I hope you enjoyed the cards I created to share with you!!!

Page Maps + Bo Bunny

Happy 7th Anniversary, PageMaps!

Bo Bunny is joining PageMaps in its month-long anniversary celebration, and all the party details can be found here. As a member of the Bo Bunny design team we were asked to participate in the "Shape It Up" challenge with Marla Kress, where we were asked to create a shaped card using a PageMaps sketch for inspiration. It was such a fun challenge! Bo Bunny would love to see what you create with this same challenge and they have sweetened the pot with a prize package of our newest release - Key Lime! You can join the challenge here.

This is the shaped card I created for the PageMaps challenge. I was inspired to create a cupcake shaped card after seeing the sketch. It also inspired me to add some little banners for my sentiment! I used a FREE cut file from Birds Cards called Cupcakes2. She provided both the die cut shape for the fun layers on the front of the card as well as the card base!  I used Bo Bunny's Surprise collection to create the card.

This is the fabulous PageMaps sketch that I used for my card!

I would love for you to play along and help PageMaps have a wonderful anniversary celebration!!!

Now, make sure you also check out these other blogs for more inspiration and giveaways:

For my final layout to share for our blog hop, I used the new Bo Bunny collection Key Lime! I absolutely adore the bright and cheerful colors that are part of this collection!!! One look at the adorable paper covered with bicycles and I knew I had to scrap this photo of my parents on their new bikes!!!  The title for my layout came from a book title that I found on Amazon. (Just a reminder...the Bo Bunny Layout Challenge for May is to use a book title on your layout! wink! wink!!!)

I used the coordinating Key Lime Clear Stamps to stamp and emboss some Bo Bunny Double Dot and then added some machine stitching for even more texture.

I further embellished the layout using Key Lime Noteworthy die cuts and brads.

Of course, I used my Xyron Mega Runner and the Xyron Mini Sticker Maker once again. I used the Sticker Maker with a die cut from the Noteworthy again, but with a little twist this time.

I adhered a strip of scrap chipboard to the back side of the die cut to give it more dimension and/or thickness.

I then ran it through the Xyron Mini Sticker Maker...

and adhered my "thicker" sticker to my layout!

Thanks so much for stopping by again for Day 3 of our blog hop! Make sure you hop on over to Robbie Herring's blog for more inspiration and prizes!

Bo Bunny Xyron Swap & Giveaway - Day 2

Welcome to the Bo Bunny Xyron Blog Swap!

Bo Bunny has teamed up with Xyron for a week of projects, inspiration and of course fun prize giveaways!!!

The PRIZE from Bo Bunny will be your choice of one of the NEW Bo Bunny Collections Kits: Anthem, Key Lime or Trail Mix.  All you have to do is leave a comment at the bottom of any of my posts for the Bo Bunny Xyron Blog Hop (I will be having three days of inspiration on my blog!) by Friday May 24 at midnight EST for your chance to win!  The more comments the more chances you have of winning!!!

Now, make sure you also check out these other blogs for more inspiration and giveaways:

This layout uses the new Bo Bunny collection called Anthem! It is full of wonderfully patriotic colors and designs in the traditional red, white and blue that you would expect for the USA. However, did you know that there are over 24 different countries that have these colors on their flag? What I love about this collection though, is its versatility! It is not just for celebrating the 4th of July. In fact, I used it to scrapbook about a marching band contest that I enjoyed from a front row seat on the porch of my old house.

I embellished the layout with stickers, Noteworthy die cuts, chipboard stickers and jewels!

Of course, Xyron adhesives were used throughout and I even used the Xyron Mini Sticker Maker to turn some of the Noteworthy die cuts into stickers!  I simply placed the pieces into the Sticker Maker.

I then, pulled them through the machine...

and removed the top liner before I adhered them to my layout! It was so simple and easy to use!!!

Thanks for much for stopping by! Make sure you stop by Robbie Herring's blog for more inspiration as you continue along with the hop!!! And stay tuned for another day of inspiration and hopping tomorrow May 24!!!
