So grateful....

Kind of a short and sweet one today...a recent layout I created for the Bo Bunny blog using the new Olivia collection! I have to admit I have completely fallen in love with this new line, but really that are all gorgeous! On this layout I used the some of the new wraps. Can you spot it? It is the green border along the left hand side!
Now look at it a bit closer...do you see anything? Yep, you guessed it! I heat embossed on it using the large flower in the Olivia Clearly stamp set.
Doesn't it add a nice touch?! And 0f course, I had to add some flowers, which are all hand cut from the paper and then layered for more dimension.
And that gorgeously delicate looking border around the photo is a digital die cut called Lace Borderlines by Laina Lamb and you can find it here!

This LO was created with special thoughts for my hubby cakes as we are coming up on our 5 year anniversary in September! I am so very grateful for him and all we have together! I love you baby!!!

Thanks for stopping by and reading the last little bit of mushiness and not getting totally grossed out!

Happy Hugs!

Our theme this month was to create a layout about our home town!
The design team has been sharing about their home towns and why they love them! So many of the gals have done such a great job with this!. I did not play along with this challenge this month due to some time constraints, but I think it was such a great idea for a layout! Here are a few of my favorites so far...
This design by Heidi V really made my eyeballs happy! Look how she re-created that gorgeous mountain scene with her patterned papers! So clever!!!
For this layout I really loved how Jamie used the chipboard stickers and a photo of her hometowns welcome sign to welcome you!!!I adore butterflies and I really adored how Lea used them on her hometown LO! They really make your eye move through the design!
Another little project I wanted to make sure you saw was this super cool necklace by Lesli! If you haven't seen it, stop by HERE and check out the details on how she created it!!!
Well, that's all for now! Thanks for stopping by!

I'm lovin' it!!!

Hi all! Today is Jillibean day on my blog! I am going to share with you a few of my latest Jillibean Soup projects! First up a little card with a fun new handmade flower for me! I call it a fringe flower because I created it by taking a strip of paper and cutting it like fringe the entire length of the paper. I then rolled it up and fastened it with some glue. Then I just folded down the "petals" and added the center piece. Super simple and easy!
And of course I had to give it a little dimension using the fabulous Helmar Zap Dots!!!
Next up is a LO of my darling niece posing with Ronald McDonald! I had a ton of fun, probably too much fun really, creating the circle frame on this LO! It is covered with torn bits of Soup Staples in red and then backed with a punched border of Soup Staples in olive! Sometimes I just love to play with my paper!!!
This final card makes me proud...it was up in the Jillibean Soup booth at CHA! Don't you just love that flower?!? I know I do! It is a cutting template created by Laina Lamb! Make sure you check out all of her designs HERE!
I added some Stickles to the edges and inside the flower for a little sparklie fun!!!

Thanks again for stopping by! And as always, if you have any questions about anything you see or read here, please don't hesitate to ask me!

Crafting a Bib Necklace Bo Bunny Style!

Jewelry making is spreading into scrappy land and for many crafters and scrapbookers alike this is great way to use up our stash of goodies. Imagine taking some of your favorite handmade or pre-made flowers, brads, ribbon and bling and turning them into a stylish fashion accessory! One thing to keep in mind is that because you are the making it, you can perfectly coordinate your jewelry to go with your favorite outfits. Another thoughtful use for creating one of these beauties is that it would make the perfect gift for your best fashionista friends! So are you beginning to think that this sounds like something you might want to try? If so, keep on reading for a detailed how-to tutorial on creating your own bib necklace using some of your favorite scrappy supplies. Before we start with the instructions though, I want to share with you one of the necklaces I created with yours truly as the model! LOL!!!
I took my time creating the base for the necklace so that the length of the necklace could be adjusted depending on the style of top I was wearing. Please let me know if you are interested in having the pattern I created. I would be more than happy to share it with you!

..................................................................................................
Supplies:
Various Bo Bunny flowers, brads and bling
Ribbon
Hot glue gun
Felt

Instructions:

Cut a piece of felt into a bib type shape.
Gather some flowers and brads
and put your flowers together.
Continue building your flowers, varying the colors and sizes of the flowers to add variety.Cut 2 pieces of ribbon approximately 15 inches in length.
Hot glue the ends of each piece of ribbon onto each end of the felt piece.
Gather some bling
and hot glue your bling on the tip of the felt bib.
(This helps hide the end piece.)
Next start hot gluing your flowers in place.
Once all of the flowers are adhered you are ready to wear your creation!

So what do you think? Easy peesy right?! So get crafting and please share your creations with us! We can't wait to see them!

Happy Crafting!

CHA

WOW!!!! CHA was a blast and I totally enjoyed every minute of it! Even though I was dog tired at times! Thanks to Sus and her jet engine fan, I was able to get some sleep! Thanks girl!!! I was thrilled to finally meet a bunch of the gals from ACOT who were sweet enough to allow me tag along with them and hang with them at the show! They are all sweet as A Cherry on Top!!! LOL!!! Here we are on Tuesday night getting together for dinner! (Me, Jules, Janet, Pam, Sarah, Leslie, Sus and Kristin. The only 2 missing from this photo are Jess and Heidi!)
It was amazing to meet so many of my online scrappy friends while I was there! I want to give out a shout to all of you, but I am sure I will forget someone and if I do I apologize and I ask that you let me know so that I can give you some love! OK? So here goes....I got to meet all the fabulous gals from Jillibean Soup, at least those who were able to attend CHA. This included Jill, Kimber, Summer, Karen, Sarah, Paula and Jen! They are such sweet, sweet ladies and genuinely real people which made me so happy on the inside! I also met up with Lolly (AKA Lolly Chops!!!!) and I was super excited to meet up with this talented lady! I only wish we had had more time to visit and chat! I ran into Norma from For the Luv of Art, and I know I must stop by more often! Aphra from Paper Poppy, who is seriously a genuine doll! Kristin from Mosh Posh and Lilly Bee and I feel like a dork for not knowing she was behind it all! Kay in the Sass booth and I really enjoyed talking with her and getting to know her a bit! Suzy and Tricia at Punky Sprouts who are both full of energy and so fun!!! Tina one of my old pals from my CMK days and someone I really need to keep in touch with more! So many of these ladies I knew from CMK! And the best treat of all was running into this amazing lady...
Carrie and I met at CHA in Chicago 2 years ago and we just clicked! One of those genuine, real meal deal types of people that you feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to meet and call a friend! I seriously think God played a hand in us getting together this time and I am so very thankful for it! Hugs to you my dear friend and I really mean what I said about keeping in better touch with each other!

Well that is all for now! Tomorrow, I hope to share with you some of the products that caught my eye including new tools and collections from CHA! So much eye candy and loser me hardly took any photos! What kind of scrapper am I?!

Until next time...
Happy Hugs!
