One week into the new year!

The week has been rather uneventful, but busy with daily life. Work seems to take up so much of my day and by the time I get home most evenings, I am feeling rather tired and lazy! But life goes on. I am currently working on our rehab floor, which is not my favorite place but I was asked to switch to it for awhile with my boss describing it as "taking one for the team"! Gotta love that way of being asked to do something at work! I understand all of the reasoning behind it and I am trying to be open to the possibility that this is a good change for me...staying awake to the opportunities. Maybe this is where I am supposed to be right now. I now the stories of what these patients go through and watching the progress that they make, working so hard to get back sometimes minute abilities at a time can bring me to tears. I am a bit of a softie at times and will seriously start crying over the littlest of things. So I am open and doing and learning.
(Supplies: Snowy Serenade Winter Night, Double Dot Slate Dot, Double Dot Frost Dot, Winter Lace Stamp, iCandy Jewels)

We had our first real snow of the winter this Thursday, with accumulation of a couple inches. Nothing too spectacular, and thank goodness it was only snow with no ice. I do, however want to get down to the river and get some photos of the ice floating down the Mississippi. I hear it is gorgeous! This weekend is to be a creative one I hope, several projects are due this week and I really must get them done this weekend so that I have some light to photo them! Speaking of projects, I hope you all were able to check out my video debut on Bo Bunny blog! If you missed it, here is a link - Snowflake Stamping Tutorial. I did it in one take with the help of Danny. When I watched it back, I realized how nervous I was at the beginning. Oh well! Live and learn, right?! Next time, you probably won't see my smiling face on the video! LOL!!!

Hope you have a great one!

  1. Love your positive attitude. That would be a very difficult job. I always commend those who are able to do the jobs that so many of us would not.
Lovely card. I love how the layered snowflake seems to sparkle like real ice crystals. (I should know, I'm sorrounded by many of them!)

  6. Hi Juliana! Sounds like you are handling these current changes in your life with grace and style, my friend! I know that the rehab floor can be a really tough place to be. I've only been there on the visitor's side, but it's terrible what people have to go through, and I know it must be a VERY physically and mentally draining job.
Love your icy winter card. Definitely going to go watch your tutorial!
