I stamped the images in alternating red and green ink and then trimmed them and popped them up on the stamped grid background. I then added the holiday sentiment and edged it using the new Stitched Borders 1 Sweet Incentive Set.  For some extra holiday cheer I added a couple of die cut snowflakes that will make their debut later this week as part of another new set.

Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release | Day 1

Hello Friends and welcome to Day 1 of the Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release! I'm going to warn you now that you're going to be in for some major cuteness overload with this release. Each and every set is perfect for creating cards for the upcoming Christmas and holiday season. So grab a cup of something warm and yummy and settle in for some amazing inspiration from the Design Team and of course for your chance to win one of the new stamp sets from this release.

Merry Christmas Card | All Aboard For Christmas Stamp Set

Seriously, does it get any cuter than Santa driving a train with cars full of toys, as well as Newton and all of his friends?! I began by stamping the images onto white cardstock. I then colored them with my Chameleon Markers and die cut them using the coordinating All Aboard For Christmas Die Set.

I then went about creating a little scene with the train and cars across the front of the card. To give it all a bit more dimension I used some double sided foam adhesive to pop up each of the elements.

Merry Christmas Card | Sentiments of the Season Stamp Set

The next set we are featuring is the Sentiments of the Season Stamp Set. I combined this set with one of the new Snowfall stencil being released this month as well. I began by stamping the sentiment with Versamark Embossing Ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

To create the snowflake background, I placed the Snowfall stencil over a piece of cardstock. I then inked up the stencil with a Versamark Embossing Ink Pad. Yes, I stamped the pad directly onto the stencil and the ink filled in the openings. I then removed the stencil and poured white embossing powder over the piece of cardstock and heat embossed. I then applied a mix of Distress Oxide Inks in Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans and Broken China to make the snowflakes pop and create a wintery scene.

Along with some greet greetings for the outside of your Christmas cards, this set also comes with some that would work for the inside of your cards as well. I especially love this one and I know I'll be using this holiday season!

Gina K Designs October Release | Illustrator Blog Hop Day 1

Hello Friends and welcome to Day 1 of the Gina K Designs October Release! All of the details on how to win are down below.

Season's Greetings Christmas Card | Fabulous Holiday Labels Stamp Set

The first set we're sharing today is called Fabulous Holiday Labels. This set was illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger and it coordinates with the following stamp sets: Fabulous Frame, Fabulous Frame Fillers, Fabulous Holiday Fillers, Holiday Frame, Fabulous Rose Frame, Pretty Patterns and Pretty Patterns 2. It also coordinates with her Fabulous Label Die Set. So many creative possibilities exist when you mix and match all of these sets!

To create my card, I used the Fabulous Label die set and cut out a label from white cardstock. I then stamped the label image from the Fabulous Rose Frame and filled in the ends using the chevron stamps from the Fabulous Holiday Labels. Next, I die cut the oval shape from the Fabulous Label die set and stamped the holly berry images and sentiment using the Fabulous Holiday Labels. This set is so much fun to mix and match and the options for creating your own design are unlimited!

Peace On Earth Christmas Card | Peaceful Holiday Stamp Set

The second set we're featuring today is the Peaceful Holiday stamp set by Theresa Momber. This set is perfect for creating a variety of "peaceful" holiday scenes. I immediately fell in love with the dove silhouette and stamped it and the "Peace On Earth" sentiment and embossed them with gold embossing powder.

Both of these images were stamped on to a die cut rectangle created using the Double Stitched and Single Stitched Rectangle Dies. To create the beautiful gold foiled background, I used one of the new Gina K Designs Foil Mates Backgrounds called Ornamental Holiday. I'm seriously loving this card and the clean and elegant design. I'm pretty sure this will be a card that will be made several more times as one of my Christmas cards this year!

Holiday Greetings Christmas Shaker Card | Eskimo Kisses Stamp Set

Today I'm sharing a Holiday Greetings Christmas Shaker Card featuring the brand stamp set and coordinating die set called Eskimo Kisses. This set has an adorable mix of penguins and polar bears along with a variety of festive phrases and sentiments. To create my card, I stamped a bear and a penguin, colored them with my Chameleon Markers and then die cut them using the coordinating die.

To create the snowy background I stamped the snowflake stamps with Versamark Embossing Ink and then heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I then applied Distress Oxide in Salty Ocean and Broken China to make the snowflakes pop. Next, I took all of these elements and created a fun little wintery shaker card scene and filled it with a mix of shimmery sequins.
The red strip of cardstock behind the shaker was cut using the brand new Sweet Incentive Set called Stitched Borders 1.  The Sweet Incentive Set are free with any $60 purchase!

Halloween Party Invitation + Party Favor | Newton's Nook Designs

Hello friends! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and every year we have a costume party. I'm already in the process of getting ready for this year's party by decorating the house and working on my costume! As part of my party planning, I created this Halloween Party Invitation which will be perfect for letting them know about this year's party. I also created a fun little Halloween Party Favor that is sure to be gobbled up by everyone!

Halloween Party Invitation and Gift Jar Set by Juliana Michaels featuring Newton's Nook Designs Creepy Cameo Stamp Set and Cameo Frame Die

Halloween Party Invitation

To create the Halloween Party Invitation and Party Favor, I used Newton's Nook Designs Creepy Cameo Stamp Set, Creepy Cameo Coordinating Die Set and Cameo Frame Die. To begin, I die cut the Cameo Frame from both black and white cardstock. For this project, I only used the white inside oval and stamped the sentiments on them with black ink. The outside of the white frames will be saved for a future use.

Next, I stamped the skeleton cameos onto the black oval and heat embossed them with white embossing powder.  I then used the Creepy Cameo Die to cut out the orange and green layers.

After all the stamping and die cutting was complete, I adhered all the layers together to create the cameos. I then adhered the three of them to the purple cardstock card base. I really love how they pop against the purple.

Halloween Party Favor

To create the Party Favor, I took the other frame and punched a hole in the top of it. I then tied it around the top of a jar filled with candy corn using black and white baker's twine. Both the Halloween invitation and party favor were rather quick to put together and made it easy to mass produce. Which is always a good thing when you know you are making more than one of something!

So how do you celebrate Halloween? If you have the need for a Halloween card or party invitation or Halloween Party Favor or Treat either of these projects will be just perfect for delighting both friends and family!
