Tis The Season Christmas Cards

Making Christmas cards is something I always enjoy doing. I think most of my friends and family have come to expect them! It is great when you can keep this process easy and simple. Especially if you have a long Christmas card list. This set of Tis the Season Christmas Cards came together quickly using the SRM's Christmas Stickers by the Dozen and a few sheets of patterned paper from the BoBunny Elf Magic collection.  I made 6 other Christmas cards using these same supplies that were recently on the SRM Stickers blog.

INSPIRATION | Elf Magic Characters Patterned Paper by BoBunny

The first time I saw this paper, I knew it would make some quick and easy Christmas cards. I simply cut out each image and mounted it on a more solid piece of patterned paper before attaching it to the card base.  This sheet will then make 12 Christmas cards!

TUTORIAL | Tis The Season Christmas Cards

Cut white cardstock to 4.25" by 8.5" and fold in half to create card base.
Cut patterned paper at 4" by 5.25". Ink the edges and mount to front of card.
Cut images from Elf Magic Characters paper. Ink the edges and attach to card.
Adhere Merry Christmas stickers to white cardstock and trim into thin strips. Attach to front of card with double sided foam tape for added dimension.
Embellish images with jewels, glitter glue and twine as desired.

BoBunny Autumn Song Fall Time Layout

I have an Autumn Song layout up on the BoBunny blog today called Wonderful Fall. I made that layout and the one I am sharing with you here called Fall Time on the same day. It was actually while I was scrapping with my new scrappy buddy Tracey during one of our monthly "scrap-togethers"! I was having so much fun playing with this collection that I couldn't stop myself. I made the Wonderful Fall layout first. I cut out the leaves that I used on that layout using my Silhouette and the cut files 3 Fall Leaves and 4 Leaves by Lori Whitlock.

I realized after I cut out the leaves that the left over paper might make a cool background for another layout so I didn't trash it or cut it down (keep reading below for a tutorial on how I did this). I decided to put it to the side for later, which came very soon because I was on a roll that day with Autumn Song! After I finished my Wonderful Fall layout, I was ready to try using the negative piece for another layout. I started putting different patterns and colors behind the cut outs and finally settled on using a piece of green patterned paper which helped make the cut out shapes stand out against the red-orange patterned paper that I cut them from.

TUTORIAL | Die Cut Leaves Background

Open the 4 Leaves file and place them on the cutting mat in the bottom left hand corner, keeping them at their original size. Open the 3 Fall Leaves file and ungroup them images. Place them as shown in the image below, again keeping them at their original size. Make sure to position them so that there is some space between each image. Now you are ready to cut your fall leaves background image!


I then added my photos and embellishments, along with some cute ribbon from the Autumn Confetti Dots Grosgrain Ribbon by Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Happy Hello Layout | My Mind's Eye

This is my fourth and final layout that I created for my October Guest Designer post for My Mind's Eye. This was truly a wonderful experience and I feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity to guest design with them. I want to send out a special THANK YOU to Stephanie Howell for asking me to do this!!! I also want to THANK everyone who has left sweet comments on my blog, my Facebook page and on the My Mind's Eye blog!  It means so very much!!! 

Now to my Hello Happy layout! I took this photo of my nieces standing outside the American Girl Place on their very first visit to the store. It was so cute how excited they were to just look in the window and see their dream doll, McKenna. When, I went to scrap this photo, I knew that the Cut and Paste Adorbs line with all the pink and bright colors was a perfect fit to capture this special and happy day for my two nieces.

Feelin' Carefree Layout and FREE Digital Cut File | My Mind's Eye

I'm back as promised, with my third My Mind's Eye October Guest Designer layout and FREE digital cutting file!!! I know that winter is coming for those of us in the northern hemisphere, but I am still going to enjoy summer and warm weather as long as I can. Even if it is just while scrapping my summer vacation photos! This layout, Feelin' Carefree, features a photo from our vacation this summer to Mexico and uses the My Mind's Eye Cut and Paste Charm collection. 

INSPIRATION | Summer Sun

I was inspired to use the sun die cut and then carry it over onto the layout with the My Mind's Eye Decorative Tape to help remind us just how hot it was the day we went deep sea fishing! In fact, there wasn't a cloud in the sky, but I couldn't resist using that cute cloud patterned paper and stickers as part of my design.
