Christmas Gift Tags | Sugar Pea Designs

Just a quick post this morning to let you know that I'm up on the SugarPea Designs blog with one of my Guest Designer post's today. For my project, I created a set of Christmas Gift Tags using the recently released Christmas Tag Greetings Stamp Set. My Creative Scrapbook | November Main Kit Scrapbook Page Ideas Part 1

So did you and your family get to an apple orchard this fall? We found an awesome orchard that is about 30 minutes from where we live called Quarry Hill Orchard and it was the perfect apple orchard for us. I've been to many of them over the years and I really prefer the ones that keep the focus on the apples with apple picking and apple cider!

This particular orchard was even dog friendly and allowed us to bring Lincoln. He experienced his first apple and even had a little taste of apple cider. He loved them both!

To help me capture the memories of this special day, I used the My Creative Scrapbook November Main Kit.

I die cut several of the patterned papers from the kit using MFT Stamps Cross-Stitch Circle Stax. I love how these dies continued the cross stitch theme that is already on the background paper I used.

To further continue the stitching theme, I also used my sewing machine to add a little stitching. If you don't have a sewing machine you could also do some hand stitching or even draw them using a marker.

Ruby Rock-It Guest Designer | Rose Cluster Downloadable Cut File

Hello everyone! I'm excited to share that I'm guest designing with Ruby Rock-It this month. They sent me the super cute and fun Happy Days collection to create with. Today, I'm sharing the two scrapbook page I created for my guest post and that were up on the Ruby Rock-It blog yesterday.

For my first layout, I wanted to keep the focus on the photo of my niece on the day of her First Communion. I went with a rather simple design and created a small cluster of embellishments from the Happy Days collection. I felt like the layout still needed something to balance it, so I created a digital cut file called Rose Cluster. The floral design of the die cut mimicked the flowers in the collection and by cutting it from white cardstock and placing it behind the photo and embellishment cluster, it helped to balance the placement of the photo and to draw your eye to the photo.

For my second layout, I was inspired to create a quilt like pattern because of the Happy Days Patchwork paper. I simply cut four squares from the paper and stitched around each square to further enhance the "quilt" like feel. I then centered my photo in the middle of the squares and added some of the fabulous Happy Days embellishments. I especially loved the die cuts with glitter on them!

The jar embellishment was fussy cut from the Captured Moments paper. I then added the twine bow, Happy Days Droplets and Die Cuts.

Scrap Our Stash September Guest Sketch Artist

Any one who knows me really well, knows that I love Mexican food! One of my favorite things to eat is stuffed poblano peppers and I usually only get them when we go out to eat. Last year, I decided to try making them at home and loved how they turned out. The fried versions are still my favorite, but after almost having a major mess involving the grease, I knew that I needed to find a different recipe for making them at home. That is when I came across this awesome Stuffed Poblano Peppers recipe from the Cottage Mama. It was really easy to make and I didn't almost catch the house on fire!

I created this Too Good layout to play along with the Scrap Our Stash September Challenge. I'm very happy to share that I'm this month's Guest Sketch Artist! Along with the fun challenge - use 3 School Supplies on your layout - I also created a sketch for everyone to use. To play along with the challenge, I really had to dig into my stash and put my thinking cap on to find some school supplies that would work. Since we don't have children, we don't really have a lot in the way of school supplies in the house, but I was able to come up with 3 supplies that I think fit the challenge perfectly.

1. Graph paper - I found an entire pad of it in my stash and I'm pretty sure I'll be using it again in the near future!

2. Paper clip - Yes, it's gold, but it sure is pretty!

3. Crayons - Last but not least, I used a green crayon to draw a border of little stars all around the outside edge of my layout.

Cool Scrapbook Title Ideas with Digital Cut Files | Kim Watson Guest Designer

Hi crafty friends! My name is Kim Watson and I'm excited to be guesting for 17turtles Digital Cut Files today and had so much fun perusing through the 17 Turtles Etsy Shop. I couldn't resist the loose, hand-drawn, vibe of the 'Floral Bouquet', mixed with the 'This is Magic' and 'Clouds' cut files.

When working with the 17turtles cut files, I decided they were just asking to be collaged into a welded, conversation piece for my page. If you look closely, you will notice I used most of the words from 'This is Magic' word art, manipulating where I had to to make the sentence work.

I worked in some of the 'Floral Bouquet' flowers and leaves into the word art by welding them together.

I cut the simpler of the cloud designs from blue patterned paper & doodled around the edge for emphasis.

I finished off the page with some cute brag cards, wood veneer & other accents, resulting in a funky, modern page that my teen LOVES!

Hockey Scrapbooking Page Ideas | Carolyn Wolff 17turtles Guest Designer

Hello everyone, it's Carolyn Wolff! I am so excited to be today's guest designer here for 17turtles Digital Cut Files. I have had the privilege of using Juliana's cut files in the past, but this time is a little special. I requested some hockey files (because I am a huge hockey fan) and had the opportunity to play with them. Thank you Juliana!!!!

I created 2 different hockey scrapbook pages and I am thrilled to share one here, on the 17turtles blog, and the other one, I will share on my blog. Here is one of my layouts!

I used a combination of the Hockey Goalie and the Hockey is Life 17turtles Digital Cut Files to create a large placemat for my background.

I added some stickers and twine to the large title.

I also added a sticker next to the large goalie silhouette. I wanted to personalize my page a bit, so I cut out the number on the goalies jersey (from my photo) and added it to the background.

I embellished the background with some star rub-ons and some enamel dots.

I added some black ink to my background using a template, along with a metal tag, the star and some washi tape.

I am thrilled with the way my page turned out! Using the files was a lot of fun. Thanks again to Juliana for creating these hockey files and for letting me design with them.

Hi! I'm Ulrika Wandler from Sweden and I'm guesting today here on the 17turtles blog. I am so excited to guest design for 17turtles Digital Cut Files!

I used the cool Digital Cut File called Bubble Time from the 17turtles Shop!

BUBBLE TIME

I cut it from a light blue cardstock, but it turned out that the color didn't really match the photo I choose. To fix this problem, I sprayed the die cut with BoBunny glimmer mist!

The title "Bada" is Swedish and it means "Bathing" or "Swimming".

I used a white gel pen to add a a little interest to some of the bubbles.

Since Christmas is just a few days away, I chose the cute Merry Merry design. I love that it has so many different pieces to play with!

Merry Merry

I started with the tree, and cut the border and inside section from two different coordinating pieces of patterned paper.

Next, I added my photo and the word Christmas from the cut file along with sticker words to complete my title.

To finish off my layout, I cut two pieces of the holly branches and added them in with a few chipboard pieces and red sequins.

Very Merry

I really adore these cut files and had a hard time choosing which files I would use on my layout.

My favorite cut file is the background cut file, “Peppermint Parade”. I love that this file consists of 2 parts: not only the main (top) cut file, but also one to adhere behind it.

What I love about the tree cut file is the diagonal stripes; these make this tree just a bit different from all those other trees out there.

And what I love about the “Very Merry” cut file (apart from the font) is that you can use it both for layout titles and for Christmas cards!
