Happy Easter! Well, almost anyway! I recently created a couple of Easter cards using the Elle's Studio exclusive April Kit and I wanted to share them with you here today. They are both super simple to create. In fact, I have found the Elle's 3x4 and 4x6 die cuts to be perfect for creating cards. I know they are made for the pocket style scrapbooking, but they have become one of my go-to items when want to make a card!
For the He Has Risen card, I began by layering the 3x4 card with some patterned papers. I then added one of my favorite embellies...Elle's wood veneers and some machine stitching around the outside edge for added interest.
The Happy Easter card was created by trimming the Happy Easter 4x6 card to fit on the front of a standard size card base. I then layered some patterned paper scraps from my Elle's scrap draw to create the banners. The final touch was to add a bit of glitter glue to the hearts for a subtle touch of sparkle and shine.
I hope you don't find these card to be too plain and simple. After I finished them, I thought they might be, but I guess that puts them in the clean and simple category and that's not all bad!
Here are some other cards I've made recently using Elle's Studio die cuts if you're looking for more inspiration on how to use them on cards:
