Sweet 2 Repeat Blog Hop | SugarPea Designs

Hello friends and welcome to the SugarPea Designs Sweet2Repeat Blog Hop! This hop is all about sharing even more ideas and inspiration using products from the recent Holiday Release. If you aren't familiar with this hop, let me fill you in on all the details. Eskimo Kisses Penguin Card | Eskimo Kisses and Flurry Of Warm Wish Stamp Sets

To create this adorable penguin card, I stamped the sweet little couple and ice berg from the Eskimo Kisses stamp set, colored them with my Chameleon Pens and die cut them using the coordinating dies. I wanted a slightly non-traditional holiday card, so I choose some fun patterned papers from the Sugar and Spice Paper Pad to create the front panel of my card.

The snowy background behind the penguins was created using the Flurry of Warm Wishes stamp set. To begin, I stamped the snowflakes onto a piece of white cardstock with Versamark Embossing Powder. I then heat set them with white embossing powder. To help them pop, I ink blended the background using Distress Oxide Ink in Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans. Next, I die cut the paper using a circle die and then mounted it onto the card base.

Tinsel In A Tangle Christmas Card | Tinsel In A Tangle Stamp Set

Today, I'm sharing a card I created using the new Tinsel In A Tangle Stamp Set. Isn't that penguin just the cutest thing ever?! I stamped and colored him using my Chameleon Pens. I then die cut him using the coordinating Sugar Cut die set.

I then stamped the sentiment onto a die cut rectangle. However, before I adhered the penguin with double sided foam adhesive, I felt like the background needed some help.

The solution...I stamped some small snowflakes from the set and heat embossed them with white embossing powder! It doesn't show up well in the above photos, but here you can see the touch of texture it adds and in person it's even better. You can also see in the image that I added some Glossy Accents to the light bulbs for a bit of added interest as well.

Hello friends and welcome to Day 4 of the SugarPea Designs Holiday Release! Today the festive cheer continues with an adorable new set perfect for all the coffee, cocoa and donut lovers out there!

Warm Holiday Wishes Christmas Card | Mugs and Kisses Stamp Set

I'm a coffee lover, so when I saw this set, I was immediately in love with it! I began by stamping and coloring the coffee mug and several donuts with my Chameleon Markers to create a scene of sweet treats for Santa. After all the coloring was complete, I die cut the image using the coordinating dies.

To give the donuts a more Christmasy feel, I colored the sprinkles red, white and green using Sakura Glaze Pens. I then stamped the sentiment onto a banner die cut and adhered it to the card.

SugarPea Designs Holiday Release | Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of the SugarPea Designs Holiday Product Release! Today there is not one, but two new stamp sets being featured. Season's Greeting's Wreath Christmas Card | Pine Cone Greetings Stamp Set

The new stamp and die set called Pine Cone Greetings is sure to become a new favorite if you enjoy stamping, die cutting and creating your own little work of art. To create the wreath on my card, I began by cutting a 3.5 inch circle from white cardstock. I used this as the base for assembling my wreath. I then stamped 4 of one of the large branches, 4 of the medium branches and 6 of each of the small branches. I stamped half of these in one color of green ink and the other half in a slightly darker green ink.

Next, I went about die cutting all of the branches using the coordinating die and adhered them around the outside edge of the die cut circle using temporary adhesive until I was certain about their placement. I then stamped and die cut the medium and small pine cones and added them to the wreath. The final touch was the addition of the small red pearls to which look like little red berries!

Here you can see some of the layering of the die cut branches and pinecones. The sentiment was stamped onto red cardstock with Versamark Embossing Ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The card I created today is another Christmas card using the brand new Off The Charts Stamp Set. This set is great for the upcoming holidays as well as birthdays and would be perfect to mix and match with so many of the Sugar Pea stamp designs!

I stamped the images in alternating red and green ink and then trimmed them and popped them up on the stamped grid background. I then added the holiday sentiment and edged it using the new Stitched Borders 1 Sweet Incentive Set. For some extra holiday cheer I added a couple of die cut snowflakes that will make their debut later this week as part of another new set.

Sugar Pea Designs Holiday Release | Day 1

Hello Friends and welcome to Day 1 of the SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Week Holiday Product Release! I'm super excited to share that I'm a Guest Designer for SugarPea Designs during this month as part of their new release and also during the month of November. Make sure to stay tuned during both months for several blog posts from me sharing some inspiration using their adorable stamps and dies. Holiday Greetings Christmas Shaker Card | Eskimo Kisses Stamp Set

Today I'm sharing a Holiday Greetings Christmas Shaker Card featuring the brand stamp set and coordinating die set called Eskimo Kisses. This set has an adorable mix of penguins and polar bears along with a variety of festive phrases and sentiments. To create my card, I stamped a bear and a penguin, colored them with my Chameleon Markers and then die cut them using the coordinating die.

To create the snowy background I stamped the snowflake stamps with Versamark Embossing Ink and then heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I then applied Distress Oxide in Salty Ocean and Broken China to make the snowflakes pop. Next, I took all of these elements and created a fun little wintery shaker card scene and filled it with a mix of shimmery sequins.

The red strip of cardstock behind the shaker was cut using the brand new Sweet Incentive Set called Stitched Borders 1. The Sweet Incentive Set are free with any $60 purchase!
