BoBunny's new Zip-A-Dee-Doodle collection has been so much fun to play with and use for my latest scrapbooking layouts. As you can see, I have used it again to create another layout about my recent deep sea fishing experience. For this layout, I wanted to capture the team work that occurred between me and DH as we struggled together for 20 minutes to bring in the Sailfish. We had to work together to accomplish this task in a way, that I don't think we have ever worked together before. It was such an amazing experience!

TIP | Hidden Journaling
As you might have noticed, I am into hidden journaling lately. I have been using it a lot on my recent scrapbook pages. I think the reason it appeals to me is that I really love the design aspect of creating my layouts. I often get carried away with the papers and embellishments, so I wait until the end when my layout is almost finished to begin thinking about my journaling. Sometimes it just doesn't fit in anywhere and when I try to add it, it looks like an afterthought. Which then, makes my eyes unhappy and I want to cover it up. That is where the hidden journaling fits in perfectly! The memories are preserved, but they don't "ruin" my "work of art".
To create the hidden journaling spot on this layout, I cut a piece from the Zip-A-Dee-Doodle Zig Zag paper and slide it behind my photo. I left the top part sticking out and used it as a design element on the page.
Discussing this does make me think though that it might be fun to challenge myself to create a layout and start with my journaling first? How about you? Do you do your journaling first or do you save it until the end?
