Bucket List x 2 | BoBunny Zip-A-Dee-Doodle Layout

We all have hopes and dreams of things we would love to do some day. Many people refer to this as their "bucket list". I have never actually written mine down or made a formal list, but I have a list of things I want to do some day. One of those things has been to go deep sea fishing. I just wanted to go. I didn't care where and I truthfully never really thought about catching anything. I just wanted to go deep sea fishing. Well, I got that wish while on vacation this summer in Mexico. I was thrilled, by dream had come true! While we were out fishing, one of our friends caught a marlin and it was such a rush to watch him reel it in. Again, I was good to go. My deep sea fishing trip was complete. Or so I thought! I never dreamed that I would actually have the chance to reel in a marlin of my own. But, that is exactly what happened. I knew after watching my friend, that there was no way I would be able to bring one in by myself without some help. The photos in the layout below are of my for the first few minutes "trying" to do it by myself. This didn't last long and DH was there to help me thank goodness. It took 20 minutes of us working together, but in the end we succeeded and go him into the boat. This was truly one of those experiences that I will never forget.

INSPIRATION | Water Droplets and Paisley
The inspiration for the design elements on this layout are simple. The Zip-A-Dee Doodle paper was covered with black and white paisley doodles that were begging for me to color them. They also immediately reminded me of water droplets and the fish jumping out of the water.

TIP | Gelatos, Markers and Hidden Journaling.
I used a combination of Gelatos and Markers by Faber Castell to color in the paisleys. I first fussy cut each of them from the patterned paper and then I colored them.  Now, if you have been to the BoBunny blog already, you will know that I mentioned some journaling hiding somewhere on my layout. It is behind the photo on the bottom left hand side. See the little striped tab? As you can see below, when you pull that out you will find my journaling. I attached the tab sticker to a Noteworthy die cut that I trimmed to fit behind my photo and then added my journaling with a pen.
